It is nothing new to at least unofficially draft a deal on the golf course or in the sauna. The latter being the more popular option in Finland. Sometimes none of those is an option given the weather, season, or number of people involved. HUONE Kamppi (opening in fall 2018) has a solution for that and the mosquito bites and lightning strikes – the new Caravan Room for meetings. Here you won’t be glamping, it’s urban camping!
Summer cabins sprout like mushrooms along the coast and lakeshores of Finland. But few are large enough to hold 22 people comfortably let alone a family of four. And you’d be hard-pressed to find an RV or trailer that can hold that many. Getting everyone there is another issue.
Can it get more central?
HUONE Kamppi in Malminkatu 30, right in the center of the Finnish capital, is convenient for everyone, even guests coming from out of town given the great public transportation and intercity connections. Even Helsinki airport is easily accessed from our new location. City parking is a pain though, especially when pulling a trailer but don’t worry we’ve got our Caravan parked in the best spot in town.
Caravan conference room is a sleek, wooden abode modeled after that classic camper – the Airstream. Where most trailers are divided internally, ours is the latest in open-plan design. The soft and light pinelike interior provides a connection to Finland’s forest.

Collect your colleagues and pile into the Caravan to talk, brainstorm, train, and share. In a space, this cozy no one can help but be a part of the conversation. And while Finns may not be known for their small talk, anything that happens in the Caravan stays in the Caravan.
Get out from the Caravan, and stretch the legs or have a breakout session in the mini-yard. Alternatively lounge about between meetings and enjoy the yard, all without the inclement weather Finland regularly experiences. And it’s easy enough to add a tapas and some beer to really get the party started after your meeting.
